Star Citizen commits to a "comprehensive wipe" as CIG fights back against duping exploits

Cloud Imperium Games says Star Citizen alpha 4.8 will launch with a comprehensive wipe to reset the in-game economy.

The wipe will remove earned aUEC, purchased vehicles, items, resources, reputation, and Wikelo and Executive Hangar rewards.

Blueprints and account-entitled hangar items will be preserved, but progression tied to exploit-abused assets will be reset.

CIG says the move is meant to curb widespread duplication exploits and protect the game’s economy.
