78,000 sq ft of US military barracks shells 3D printed by Army in 58 days for troops

The U.S. Army unveiled the first two of 10 large 3D-printed barracks at Fort Bliss in Texas.

The 78,000-square-foot housing complex had its structural shells completed in just 58 days and is due for full completion by September 2026.

The barracks are for soldiers assigned to Task Force Bastogne and highlight faster, cheaper military housing construction.

As the Army’s largest robotic construction deployment so far, the project could shape future military infrastructure and troop readiness.
