Meta Is Using AI Bone Structure Analysis To Detect And Remove Underaged Users

Meta says it will use AI to analyze photos, videos, posts and interactions to estimate user age on Facebook and Instagram.

Accounts suspected of being under 13 may be deactivated unless users can prove their age, while teens aged 13 to 15 will be placed into protected accounts.

The move expands Meta’s teen-safety tools to more regions as regulators intensify scrutiny over child safety compliance.
