SpaceX Listed Grok’s ‘Spicy’ Mode as a Risk in Its IPO Filing

SpaceX’s IPO filing warns that xAI’s Grok, including Spicy and Unhinged modes, could generate harmful or explicit content and trigger lawsuits or regulatory action.

The company said it has set aside $530 million for potential litigation losses and disclosed ongoing probes and class actions tied to AI-related risks.

SpaceX also flagged reputational and market restrictions that could affect its valuation as investors assess exposure to AI safety controversies.

Despite the risks, xAI is seeing growing usage and a major Anthropic data-center deal, even as the unit continues to post heavy losses.
