NASA Picks Bezos’s Blue Origin Over SpaceX For Key Moon Base Mission

NASA selected Blue Origin’s Blue Moon Mark 1 Endurance for the first Moon Base mission.

The uncrewed 2026 landing will target the lunar south pole and test landing systems and surface conditions.

NASA also plans follow-on cargo and research missions with Astrobotic and Intuitive Machines landers.

The program is meant to support future crewed Artemis missions and a sustained presence on the Moon.
