SpaceX Starship V3: How the world’s biggest rocket got even bigger

SpaceX outlined Starship Version 3, a bigger upgrade with a taller Super Heavy booster, a stretched upper stage, and more powerful Raptor 3 engines.

The company is targeting higher payload capacity and plans to keep tower catches for both stages to support full reuse.

Starship V3 has not flown yet, and major hurdles remain, including heat shield durability and orbital refueling.

If SpaceX makes catch-and-reuse and refueling work, the system could cut launch costs and boost mission capability for commercial flights and NASA’s lunar plans.
