Waymo dominates autonomous vehicle registrations as Tesla trails behind

Texas’ new DMV site now publicly tracks autonomous vehicle registrations and fleet disclosures under a recent state law.

Waymo leads the Texas AV race with 577 registered vehicles, far ahead of Avride, Nuro, Tesla, Zoox, and others.

The database also reveals self-driving truck fleets from Aurora, Kodiak AI, Waabi, and Gatik AI.

By publishing official AV data, Texas makes it easier to compare competitors and gauge who is closest to commercial scale.
