Solid-state battery tech is finally mainstream, starting with BMX SolidSafe power banks

BMX unveiled its SolidSafe Qi2 magnetic power banks at CES 2026.

The lineup uses semi-solid-state battery technology instead of standard lithium-ion cells.

Available in 5,000mAh and 10,000mAh versions, they aim to be safer, thinner, and more thermally stable.

The launch signals solid-state battery tech moving from the lab into consumer accessories.
