DTU researchers developed a chromium-pyrazine compensated ferrimagnet that stays magnetically ordered while nearly canceling its external field.

The molecular magnet works above room temperature and was verified with neutron scattering and synchrotron measurements.

Its near-zero stray field could reduce interference in dense electronics and support more compact spintronic devices.
