Xbox Series X|S storage expansion cards can be used on PC with an inexpensive CFexpress adapter — Speeds top out at 1,560 MB/s in Redditor's testing

A Reddit user showed that Xbox Series X|S Storage Expansion Cards can be used as PC storage with a PCIe-to-CFexpress Type-B adapter.

After formatting, Windows recognized the card and benchmarked it at about 1,117 MB/s read and 1,570 MB/s write.

That means proprietary Xbox storage hardware can be repurposed for PCs instead of sitting unused.

It could be a handy workaround while SSD prices remain high, though performance is only modest.
