Mistral AI introduced Robostral Navigate, its first embodied navigation model for robots.

The 8B model uses a single RGB camera plus language instructions to navigate complex spaces, with pointing-based actions when the goal is visible and fallback movements otherwise.

Trained in-house with simulated data and token-efficient methods, it reached 76.6% success on unseen R2R-CE validation.

It outperformed prior single-camera and multi-sensor systems, showing that one camera can deliver strong, lower-cost robot navigation.
