Google is testing AI chatbot search for YouTube

Google is testing “Ask YouTube,” an AI-powered conversational search feature for eligible YouTube Premium users in the US.

The tool generates summaries and organizes results across longform videos, Shorts, and text to help people discover content more easily.

Google says it plans to widen access beyond Premium, but the experiment highlights growing concerns about AI accuracy.

A review found the feature mostly worked, though it produced at least one factual error.
