Texas AG Sues Netflix, Claiming The Streaming Service Collects User Data Without Consent

Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton has sued Netflix over allegations that it collected and monetized user data without consent.

The lawsuit also says Netflix gathered data from children's accounts and used autoplay to keep users engaged longer.

Paxton is seeking to stop the alleged data collection and require autoplay to be off by default on children's accounts.

Netflix says the claims are inaccurate and that it complies with privacy and data-protection laws.
