Warhammer 40,000 Boltgun 2 preview shows new weapons, enemy types, and a second playable character.

The sequel also features more varied and colorful levels, giving the shooter a broader presentation.

Despite the upgrades, it still looks very close to the fast, brutal Doom-style formula of the first game.

That makes it promising as an improved boomer shooter, but not yet a major departure from the original.
