Samsung's new foldables just got one of the biggest battery upgrades in years

Samsung launched the Galaxy Z Fold 8, Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra, and Galaxy Z Flip 8.

The Z8 lineup is Samsung’s first to use silicon-carbon battery technology.

The Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra keeps a similar size to its predecessor while increasing battery capacity from 4,400mAh to 5,000mAh.

The move brings Samsung closer to rival battery tech and could improve battery life without adding thickness.
