New 3D-printed jet engine makes 1,000 lbf thrust for uncrewed combat drones

Beehive Industries unveiled Rampart, a 3D-printed turbofan engine producing 1,000 lbf of thrust for tactical uncrewed aircraft.

The company says additive manufacturing will cut build times and costs while enabling modular combat, reconnaissance, and decoy missions.

Rampart fits growing US military interest in rapidly produced uncrewed fighters and attritable platforms that can be replaced cheaply.

Beehive is also developing its smaller Frenzy engine family under a US Air Force contract.
