Apple Faces £3 Billion UK Trial Over iCloud Lock-In Claims

A UK tribunal rejected Apple’s effort to narrow a consumer case over iCloud, letting it go to trial.

The lawsuit, led by Which?, alleges Apple steered iPhone users toward iCloud and limited competition from other cloud providers.

Claims from both paying and non-paying iCloud users will proceed, testing a novel damages theory for non-paying users.
