Discord now uses end-to-end encryption for all voice and video calls by default

Discord has rolled out end-to-end encryption by default for voice and video calls on desktop, mobile, web, and console.

Its DAVE system now protects calls across supported platforms, while stage channels remain excluded.

The move boosts privacy without sacrificing Discord’s low-latency, cross-platform calling experience.

Discord is also phasing out legacy unencrypted fallback code as the migration completes.
