Legendary ZSNES Nintendo emulator rewritten from scratch with GPU acceleration, no vibe coding — new Super ZSNES has ‘far more accurate CPU and audio cores than the original’

ZSNES has been rebuilt from scratch by its original creators as Super ZSNES.

The new version uses GPU-accelerated PPU rendering, with improved CPU and audio emulation for better accuracy.

It also adds optional visual and audio enhancements, including support for classic effects like Mode 7.

An early release is available for Windows, Mac, Linux, and Android, with iOS planned.
