OpenAI has launched Sora, its new AI video generation tool, to the public with safety controls in place.

The company says the current version still has major limits, especially in physics accuracy and long-duration actions.

To reduce misuse, OpenAI is adding C2PA metadata, visible watermarks, abuse blocking, and restrictions on uploading people at launch.
