Google’s AI search summaries will now quote Reddit

Google is updating AI Search to quote perspectives from Reddit, social media, and forums as preview snippets.

The new experience adds more source context, including creator and community names, plus related links and topic suggestions.

AI Mode and AI Overviews will also make it easier to find news from subscribed publishers.

The changes could shift more search visibility toward firsthand and community content while giving trusted sources better discovery.
