Apple’s trade secrets lawsuit against OpenAI has been reassigned to U.S. District Judge Edward Davila.

The move came after Apple declined magistrate judge jurisdiction, prompting the case to shift from Judge Virginia K. DeMarchi.

A planned October 13 case management conference before DeMarchi was vacated, though other deadlines remain in place.

The reassignment decides which federal judge will oversee early procedure in the Northern District of California case.
