Spotify takes on Google’s NotebookLM with its new app

Spotify launched Studio, a standalone desktop AI app that turns user context into private podcast-style podcast briefings.

The research preview can draw from email, calendar, bookings, and web browsing to generate personalized audio for select adult users.

The content is saved privately in the user’s Spotify library and is available in more than 20 markets.

The move positions Spotify against Google’s NotebookLM and other AI briefing tools, expanding Spotify beyond music streaming.
