Apple releases iOS 18 security update for all iPhone users, update now

Apple released iOS 18.7.7 build 22H340 for all iPhones still running iOS 18 to patch the DarkSword exploit.

DarkSword is an exploit chain that affected iOS 18.4–18.7 and has been used by commercial surveillance vendors and suspected state-linked actors.

Users with auto-update enabled will receive the iOS 18 security update automatically, and Apple urged supported devices to move to iOS 26 for stronger protections.
