Microsoft could be the next Big Tech antitrust target

The FTC has been probing Microsoft since 2024 over possible exclusionary tactics in Azure, software licensing, and related services.

New reporting says the agency is also examining whether Microsoft used unfair competition practices in cloud and AI markets.

Microsoft says it is cooperating and denies anti-competitive conduct.

The inquiry could still end without a complaint, but FTC staff may recommend a lawsuit to commissioners.
