Rivian’s factory hit by tornado ahead of R2 launch

A tornado hit Rivian’s Normal, Illinois plant over the weekend, damaging Building 2 where R2 SUV-related work is done.

No one was injured, and Rivian paused operations in that area while it assesses repairs.
