AMD’s new X100 chip lineup puts embedded Ryzen AI 'Strix Halo' chips into robots – APUs for physical AI bring Zen 5 CPU, RDNA 3.5 GPU cores to compete with Intel’s Panther Lake

AMD unveiled the X100 embedded chip family, bringing Strix Halo-style Ryzen AI silicon to robotics and other physical AI systems.

The lineup includes three SKUs—X199, X188, and X168—with Zen 5 CPU cores, RDNA 3.5 graphics, and an XDNA 2 NPU.

AMD says the parts offer high memory capacity, wide power ranges, and long industrial lifecycle support for edge deployments.

The company also introduced the Kria X100 SOM and a robotics developer platform, positioning the stack against Intel’s Panther Lake-based offerings.
