EXCLUSIVE: Spider-Noir showrunner Oren Uziel on creating Nicolas Cage’s dark new Spider-Man series

Showrunner Oren Uziel says Spider-Noir was built as a 1930s-set noir thriller that reimagines Spider-Man mythology for live-action TV.

The series stars Nicolas Cage as an older Ben Reilly, a private investigator pulled back into heroism.

Uziel said he chose the project for its fresh tone and bold take on a familiar character.

The show marks a notable expansion of the Spider-Man franchise for MGM+ and Prime Video.
