Cohere Transcribe Arabic: Open-Source Speech AI | Cohere

Cohere released Cohere Transcribe Arabic, an Apache 2.0 open-source ASR model for Arabic dialects, bilingual Arabic-English speech, code-switching, and specialized vocabulary.

The company says the model beats Whisper and OmniASR on Arabic speech-to-text benchmarks, aiming to improve recognition in a difficult, under-served language space.

The model is available through Hugging Face, the Cohere API, and Model Vault, making it usable for production deployments.
