AMD Ryzen AI Max 400 ‘Gorgon Halo’ packs up to 192GB of unified memory — refreshed APU uses Zen 5 and RDNA 3.5, and can clock up to 5.2 GHz

AMD unveiled Ryzen AI Max 400 “Gorgon Halo” as a minor refresh of Strix Halo, keeping Zen 5 CPU cores, RDNA 3.5 graphics, and XDNA 2 NPUs.

The biggest upgrade is support for up to 192GB of unified memory, with as much as 160GB available as VRAM for larger local AI and workstation workloads.

The flagship Pro chip also gets a slight boost to 5.2 GHz.

AMD says the Pro 400 series is aimed at enterprise systems, with partner laptops and desktops expected from Q3 2026.
