Energizer now offers child-safe batteries for your AirTags

Energizer has launched Ultimate Child Shield CR2032 coin batteries, including the type used in Apple AirTags.

The batteries add child-resistant packaging, a bitter coating, and a blue-dye indicator to help reduce harm if swallowed.

The move targets a long-running safety issue, since coin batteries can cause severe or even fatal injuries when ingested.

A safer replacement option for AirTags and similar devices could address a major child-safety concern.
