Google's image generation AIs "Nano Banana 2" and "Nano Banana Pro" are finally generally available, with Preview ending and access available via API

Google has moved Nano Banana 2 and Nano Banana Pro to general availability for production use.

Developers can now access API docs and sample code through the Gemini API and Google AI Studio.

The models add multiple reference images, real-time search-based generation, video-to-image input, and up to 4K output.

SynthID watermarking remains enabled to help identify AI-generated images.
