DuckDuckGo’s new smart glasses come with zero AI and 100% shade

DuckDuckGo has partnered with Knockaround to launch $35 sunglasses called Paso Robles.

The glasses are ordinary shades with polarized, UV400-rated lenses and no camera, microphone, battery, charging port, or AI features.

The release is a playful jab at surveillance-focused smart glasses like Meta Ray-Ban.

It underscores growing consumer unease about wearables that can record people and feed data into AI systems.
