Fortsense Develops Single-Chip RGBD Spatial Cameras for Physical AI Perception

Fortsense Technologies is developing a single-chip RGBD spatial camera that combines RGB imaging with direct time-of-flight depth sensing.

The company says its roadmap builds on SPAD chip stacks, optical scanning, and automotive-grade production, after shipping tens of thousands of chips.

Customers already include Zeekr 9X, and Fortsense aims to bring the integrated design to market by 2027.

If successful, the sensor could lower cost, size, and complexity for physical AI, robotics, and autonomous vehicles by replacing separate cameras and LiDAR.
