YouTube automatically detects AI-generated content and displays a "label"

YouTube is rolling out a more prominent AI-content disclosure system across long-form videos and Shorts.

The platform will automatically label photorealistic AI-generated or heavily altered content when its system detects it, even if creators do not disclose it.

Creators can review and correct mistaken labels in YouTube Studio.

YouTube says the labels will not affect recommendations or monetization.
