Gemini app getting full redesign that overhauls every part of the UI

Google is rolling out a major Gemini app redesign across platforms, centered on a new homepage, navigation, tools menu, and chat interface.

The update adds a pill-shaped prompt box, refreshed icons, a new tool carousel, and a moved account switcher for easier access.

Google is also revising chat, model picker, and Gemini Live controls to make the app more visual and easier to use.

The new design is being tested on Android and web, is already live on Mac, and has a limited rollout on iOS with a Liquid Glass look.
