Footwear production, and our feet, are broken. Can 3D printing fix both?

Vivobarefoot and Asher Clark are using 3D printing to make bespoke barefoot shoes through the VivoBiome platform.

The Tabi Gen 02 is produced with Carbon DLS and supported by regional manufacturing partners in Europe.

The pitch is that additive manufacturing can replace wasteful mass production with custom-fit footwear.

If it works, the model could improve biomechanics while reducing material waste and supply-chain impact.
