SpaceX Starship V3's First Test Flight Was Largely Successful

SpaceX launched its first Starship V3 test flight from Starbase after a prior scrub, with the mission mostly meeting objectives.

Several engines failed during ascent and descent, but the Super Heavy booster still completed separation and partial return maneuvers.

The flight deployed payload simulators, gathered atmospheric reentry data, and ended with a splashdown in the Indian Ocean.

The test marked progress for SpaceX’s upgraded Mars-and-Moon vehicle as the company also moves toward an IPO.
