OpenAI has a new website where you can check if an image is real or AI-generated

OpenAI launched a public verification site so users can check whether an image was created with its tools.

The company also became a C2PA-conforming generator and added Content Credentials support for image provenance.

OpenAI partnered with Google DeepMind to embed SynthID watermarks in images made through ChatGPT and the OpenAI API.

The move improves origin checks for AI images, but it still cannot prove an image is not AI-generated unless the wider ecosystem adopts similar standards.
