Two Men Arrested for Creating AI Deepfake Porn

Two men were charged in Brooklyn with creating and distributing AI deepfake pornography.

Prosecutors say Cornelius Shannon and Arturo Hernandez ran separate operations that produced large volumes of non-consensual sexual images.

The material allegedly included about 473 albums and targeted roughly 140 victims, including celebrities and private individuals.

The case was brought under the new bipartisan Take It Down Act, a significant federal step against deepfake abuse.
