Introducing The Anthropic Institute

Anthropic has launched The Anthropic Institute, led by co-founder Jack Clark, to study frontier AI capabilities and their societal effects.

The institute will combine existing teams and new work on forecasting, law, and public engagement, while adding new hires and projects.

Its research focus includes AI safety, economic change, jobs, governance, and broader risks from increasingly powerful AI.

Anthropic says the goal is to inform policymakers and the public about both the opportunities and the risks of advanced AI.
