Tokyo Gas to raise basic fee by 150 yen from November meter readings

Tokyo Gas will raise the monthly basic fee for household gas by 150 yen starting with November meter readings billed from October 1.

The change applies in six Tokyo-area prefectures plus Gunma, covering a wide household customer base.

Tokyo Gas will also increase some payment slip fees and end its combined next-month payment system for low bills.

The move adds to household utility costs and reflects inflation pressure and weaker gas sales.
