Europe’s Online Age Verification App Is Here

The European Commission launched an open-source, privacy-preserving age verification app for EU online platforms.

It verifies age with ID documents or electronic ID without storing personal identity data.

Platforms can integrate it to restrict access to age-gated services and content.

EU officials say it will help enforce child-protection rules under the Digital Services Act.
