NVIDIA’s First Made-In-America GB300 GPUs Roll Off TSMC’s Arizona-Based Fab 21, But Still Fly To Taiwan for Packaging

TSMC has started producing some early NVIDIA GB300 AI GPUs at its Arizona Fab 21 using a 4nm process.

The chips still have to be shipped to Taiwan for CoWoS advanced packaging before server assembly.

The move shows progress in U.S.-based AI chip manufacturing, but packaging remains a major bottleneck.

TSMC’s broader U.S. plan includes future advanced packaging capacity and additional leading-edge production.
