Bare Bones released BBEdit 16 for macOS with in-image text search using grep patterns and faster indexed notebook filtering.

The update adds deeper Shortcuts support via App Intents, making BBEdit more automation-friendly.

BBEdit 16 also brings streaming AI worksheet responses, better model selection, and faster SFTP transfers.

Additional improvements include better Unicode emoji handling plus performance and validation updates for text-heavy workflows.
