This see-through smart ring translates sign language and almost works like magic

South Korean researchers developed WRSLT, a smart ring system that translates sign language in real time using motion sensors and AI.

In tests with new users, it recognized about 100 words each for American Sign Language and International Sign Language with roughly 88% accuracy.

The ring-based design avoids the movement limits and bulk of glove-based or wired translation devices.

The technology could provide a more natural, portable way to support communication for deaf and hard-of-hearing users.
