Samsung starts using silicon-carbon batteries with Galaxy Z Fold 8 series, Flip 8

Samsung says the Galaxy Z Fold 8, Z Fold 8 Ultra, and Z Flip 8 all use silicon-carbon batteries.

The Fold 8 gets a 4,800 mAh battery, the Fold 8 Ultra 5,000 mAh, and Samsung has added 45W wired and 20W wireless charging.

Samsung is pitching the new battery tech as a way to raise capacity without making foldables thicker, while improving longevity and safety.
