Apple confirmed the issue on its System Status page after reports spread worldwide and Downdetector showed a spike in complaints.

The disruption began around 11:40 a.m. EDT and was marked resolved at 9:30 p.m. EDT the same day.

The incident temporarily cut off access to a major streaming service, underscoring the impact of repeated service outages.
