RTX leads hybrid-electric aviation push with advanced power systems testing

The hybrid-electric powertrain subsystems were then handed to Airbus for aircraft-level integration and validation.

The milestone advances practical hybrid-electric propulsion for future short- and medium-range aircraft.

It could help reduce fuel burn and emissions while proving key systems for commercial deployment.
