It turns out Firefox has quietly incorporated Brave's ad-blocking technology

Firefox 149 has been found to include Brave’s open-source ad and tracker blocking engine, adblock-rust.

The integration is currently experimental and disabled by default, with no official Mozilla announcement or release-note mention.
